Dental bonding is a procedure using resin bonding/filling material to reshape teeth and mask discolourations. It may also be used to repair small chips in front teeth. Some clients like to ‘experiment with bonding’ prior to having veneers done to get a better feel for how their teeth will look and feel when a gap they have had for years is closed, or the shape of their teeth changed. Bonding often requires little or no tooth removal, but it does not have the strength of porcelain veneers or crowns and is not suitable in all instances.
